National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)
The Mission of NRHH
The Appalachian State University chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) exists to enhance the residential experience by providing opportunities for students to serve in the greater Boone community, recognize the effort of others who impact residence life, and develop the next generation of student leaders.
What Is NRHH?
The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is a student-led organization under University Housing. Under the guidance of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated (NACURH), NRHH provides opportunities for students to develop their own leadership through service events and recognition efforts put on by the NRHH Executive Board.
What Does NRHH Do?
Each member of NRHH is required to attend bi-weekly General Body meetings, complete 10 hours of community service per semester, and write 3 "Of the Month" Awards (aka OTMs) per semester to maintain active membership. OTM's are a written award that is submitted through NACURH and can go on to win both regional and national awards. OTM's can be written by anyone. If you'd like to recognize the efforts of an individual or student organization for their efforts to improve the residential experience, you can submit them here!
Past service events that NRHH has organized include, but are not limited to:
Past Events:
- Hurricane Relief with Samaritan's Purse
- Creating Tie Blankets for the Watauga Cancer Center
- Paws 4 A Cause
- Facilities Breakfast
