- Students who are married
- Students who are single parents
- Students who are veterans
- Students living with parents/guardians within a 30-mile drivable radius of campus
- Students living with parents/guardians while taking all online courses (PRIOR to occupancy of space on campus)
Request an Exemption
Any new, incoming freshman meeting any of the criteria listed above who wishes to request an exemption from the housing requirement must complete the Housing Exemption Request and submit it to University Housing. Please be certain to include any supporting documentation necessary along with the exemption request. Please note that the exemption request form requires Adobe Acrobat Reader to view. If you are using Google Chrome as your browser, please be aware that the PDF file cannot be opened within Chrome and will generate an error message; however, the file will still download to your computer's default download location as intended. Simply ignore the error message and you will be able to open the downloaded file as normal.
Information for Returning Students
Housing contracts for Fall 2020 that were signed last spring remain unchanged. If you are a returning student who selected a space through the room selection process last spring and signed a Residence Hall License Contract, you are contractually obligated to live on campus for the duration of the academic year (both Fall and Spring semesters).
Continuing students who are enrolled in all online classes for the Fall 2020 semester and will be living with their parents/guardians at their permanent address for the term who wish to request an exemption from the housing requirement must complete the Housing Exemption Request and submit it to University Housing.
HOUSING EXEMPTION REQUESTS ARE DUE BY AUGUST 17, 2020
All of our full-time staff are working from home. Please email your exemption request forms to email@example.com. Exemption request forms that are mailed or faxed to the office may not be received in a timely manner.
