Appalachian State University is a member institution of the 17-campus University of North Carolina system and has an enrollment of over 18,000 students. The housing system currently serves over 5,700 residence hall students in 20 university residence halls. Appalachian is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Boone, North Carolina. Two major cities, Charlotte and Winston-Salem are less than two hours away.
