Fall Move-In Volunteers
Move-In Weekend is Friday, August 16th, 2019. Freshman/Transfer students may move in on Friday, August 16th and upperclassmen may begin moving in on Saturday, August 17th. Volunteers are needed to assist students by moving them into their residence hall, answering questions, providing directions and a variety of other customer service functions to demonstrate the "Appalachian Way." Please note that volunteering for this opportunity requires lifting of boxes and other items that a student may move into their room.
Appalachian State University students who are volunteering, and students of parent volunteers, are allowed to move in on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 1pm - 4pm.
Online sign-up is currently open! Please use the link below to sign up for a shift today! You will be notified in early August of your assigned volunteer shift.
If you have questions, please contact University Housing at (828)262-2160.
Thank you for visiting the move-in volunteer page. At this time the sign-up form has been taken down. If you would still like to volunteer you may do so by visiting one of our move-in volunteer tents to serve as a walk-up volunteer. Our East Campus volunteer tent is located between East residence hall and Hwy 321, while our West Campus volunteer tent is located at the front yard of Newland Hall. We will be accepting volunteers between 8:15am - 2:00pm on Friday, August 16th.
