University Housing Scholarship
We are pleased to announce the annual University Housing Scholarship! The scholarship is funded through departmental fundraising efforts to provide financial assistance for students choosing to remain in on-campus housing. Scholarship recipients receive $1,000, distributed over two semesters ($500 in the fall, $500 in the spring).
To provide support to on-campus residents, preference shall accrue to applicants who maintain a 3.5 grade point average or above, be involved in extracurricular activities (clubs, organizations, athletics, etc.), be in good standing with Student Conduct, and demonstrate financial need.
Requirements
- 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Full-time, degree-seeking student at Appalachian State University
- Must currently live on campus
- Must plan to live on campus for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022
- Must have earned 12 Appalachian credit hours by May 12, 2021
- Must be in good standing with Student Conduct
Recipients are chosen based on the following criteria:
- GPA
- Financial Need
- Campus/Community involvement
- Essay response
Application
Applicants must submit an online application by April 26, 2021. Recipients will be notified via Appalachian State University email by May 2.
