MICROFRIDGE® - WHAT IS IT?

The MicroFridge® is a combination refrigerator/freezer and microwave oven all in one convenient unit. Designed with safety and covenience in mind, the MicroFridge® offers students a time saving solution to eating when they want. Many institutions prohibit cooking in residence hall rooms because of real concerns over safety and the possibility of causing a fire. MicroFridge®, however, is approved for use by Appalachian State University because it is totally safe. For example, MicroFridge® requires only a single plug and its patented circuitry automatically cuts off power to the refrigerator/freezer whenever the microwave is in operation - as a result, the unit never draws more than 10 amps of electricity.

The MicroFridge® stores all kinds of foods and beverages while also providing the ability for students to microwave products that they regularly enjoy at home - all within a compact unit. The well-designed refrigerator unit, complete with wide door storage and lots of shelf space, is complemented by a separate freezer for storing ice cream, ice cubes, and frozen foods of all kinds.
