Doughton Residence Hall





Doughton residence hall is located on the east side of campus above Hoey residence hall. Doughton is named after a trio of political and business figures; specifically Robert L., Rufus, and J. Kemp Doughton. Rufus Doughton was a member of the General Assembly for 12 terms and presided over both houses as speaker of the House and as lieutenant governor. The building was first occupied in September 1964 and was recently renovated.

Doughton residence hall is co-ed and traditionally houses freshman-senior students.
