Summer Housing Information

Students are encouraged to submit summer housing application materials early to ensure an assignment.  Students must be enrolled for at least one course during the summer session(s) for which they want to live on campus in order to be eligible to reside on campus.

All room assignments must be occupied by the "No-Show" deadline of 6:00 p.m. on the first day of classes. If you will be arriving later than 6:00 p.m., please contact University Housing at (828) 262-2160 to notify staff of your late arrival. If an assignment is not occupied by the "No-Show" deadline and no arrangements for a late arrival have been made, the space is subject to reassignment.

The University reserves the right to:

  1. Cancel or change the assignment in the interest of order, health, sanitation or other urgent reasons.
  2. Collect charges for damages or the unauthorized use or alteration of a room, equipment or building and for special cleaning necessitated by improper use of a room and/or equipment.

The University is incurring an administrative expense to hold a space for a student. If a student has been assigned a space on campus and decides to cancel the space prior to the start of the summer session to live off-campus, the student will be charged a $150 cancellation fee to cover administrative costs.
